Afgelopen najaar heb ik hard gewerkt om een Eramsus+ voorstel te schrijven en in te dienen voor het project EMBED+. Afgelopen maand hebben we bericht gekregen dat ons voorstel is goedgekeurd!
EMBED+ is een vervolg op het originele EMBED-project (dat van 2017 tot 2020 liep). In dit vervolg project wordt het huidige EMBED-model geëvalueerd, geupdate en wordt een EMBED+Hub gebouwd. In deze hub worden open materialen gedeeld die gebruikt kunnen worden voor meer volwassen vakken, programma’s en instellingen (denk bijvoorbeeld aan workshop materialen, bootcamp materialen, enzovoorts). De partners in EMBED+ zijn TU Delft, KU Leuven, Tampere University, EADTU en Lille University. Het project zal komende december van start gaan.
Aangezien ik binnenkort begin met mijn nieuwe baan bij de Marnix Academie, zal het project door mijn collega’s bij de TU Delft opgepakt gaan worden. Maar ik blijf het project natuurlijk volgen en updates delen via deze blog en linkedin.

Objectives: What do you want to achieve by implementing the project?
The project’s main goal is to improve blended education in European higher education institutions. The framework and resources hub created by the project will help institutions enhance blended practices at the course, program, and institutional levels. Additionally, the project aims to collaborate with national and international platforms and networks, to develop a sustainable community and continuous professional development for blended education in higher education institutions across Europe.
Implementation: What activities are you going to implement?
In this project, the original EMBED-framework will be evaluated, updated, and validated based on a use and needs analysis among EMBED-users, a literature review, and a delphi study. This leads to a new model: EMBED+. Based on EMBED+, a digital hub is developed including resources (e.g., toolkits, digital self-assessment tool, AI-bot) which HEI can use to mature in blended education. The project will be disseminated via training-events, an online community, conferences, and a closing event.
Results: What project results and other outcomes do you expect your project to have?
The outcomes and results of EMBED+ will consist of:
- A validated EMBED+framework which provides a comprehensive approach for maturing in blended education;
- A resources hub and online community containing various toolkits, tools, materials and best practices for enhancing blended education practices and maturity levels;
- A variety of publications, proceedings and reports that disseminate the project to a wide audience of policy makers, practitioners and researchers in the field of blended education
